It takes more than just finding a good expert trucking company to make a smooth move to San Diego. I don’t say this to be facetious. I say this, because there are a lot of elements to make a good move. First of all, you should know something about correctly packing your personal items. The big stuff can be packed by a good moving company. But the items that are super precious to you will need extra attention. Fortunately, you can get all the information that you need online.
In my case, I had some antiques that I had been collecting over the years. So, I needed to secure some heavy duty cardboard moving boxes. I was able to get these by asking for bulk pricing online. I was impressed that I was even able to get free shipping on the boxes and other packing supplies that I ordered. The items arrived in no time at all and I was able to get started early. Once I had my most delicate items packed, I could rest a bit, before tackling the more difficult parts of the move.
The next part of arranging the move was a bit tough. It required narrowing down the field of moving van drivers to take care of my valuables. This included my big screen TV and my other electronics. I was assured by the moving company that their drivers were experts at keeping to the schedules as well as driving in such a manner as to protect the things that are in the truck. This is especially important when you’re carrying delicate electronic equipment. This is just as important as packing the items correctly. Driving in an unprofessional manner will most certainly the contents of a truck.
Once I had all my ducks in a row, I knew what company that I wanted to move my belongings. In essence, all of my experience paid off. The move went smoothly and, believe it or not, there was not one damaged item at the end of the move. I didn’t have to fill out one piece of paperwork in order to collect on an insurance claim! That meant that I could hit the ground running and get started with familiarizing myself with my new surroundings. Now, I’m ready for a couple of days off before starting work.
